I just had to share this with everyone - in case I'm not the only one who didn't know about this.
My friend Barb, (Barb C, here at Portableempire.ning) works in a Literacy program and got a tip at a workshop yesterday. Since we are all involved in information products here, I thought it would be really helpful for all of us - those who weren't already aware....
I work with Word a lot, and I'm so embarrassed that I didn't know. The tip was, write to the understanding of a

This is the day for new blogs, I guess. Andy has his very first blog up. We are still getting used to the 'dashboard' so it's pretty basic right now. He is hard at work on the editing phase of his short story which will be offered as a freebie and cracking the proverbial whip over my head regarding the 'how-to' book for new cat slaves.
Regarding Portable Empire stuff, I have spent a day and a half at

Happy 2008, everyone.
I have been feeling sorry for myself as I have been unable to access my Second Life world and friends. I miss them! However, as big a time suck as it is, that has meant that I have more time to work on other things. Product, for instance...
One of my Second Life friends had asked me, before everything went AWOL, to review his E-book and I have done that. I think it's a great product that will benefit many of us 'Baby Boomers', and I will let you know when i

Incidentally, there is a free program called Pagebreeze that I think has an FTP built in, that you could build quick little mini-sites with.
Thanks for responding. I think I've found a quick solution to getting a squeeze page up and running fast . Tellman Knudson and Shawn Casey have come up with a quick ... get started program. I've followed Tellman for about a year now. Log on to Listbuilding.com and opt in.
They have a wonderful quick start program on video that is very simple. They offer 3 squeeze page templets to help you get up and running. You can use with NVU and a Mac.
I do have a product to give away right off the bat and I thought I'd give
their program a try...
If I can get up and running... I would like to get on to iweb and start fiddling around a bit. My sister also has a Mac and purchased Mac
for Dummies. She says it can do amazing things and puts her old PC to shame. We just need to learn to utilize it better.
Let's keep in touch.

Thank you for your kindness and sensitivity. It's shocking... this experience of knowing that the man you love came close to death. I vacillate between micromanaging his care, to laughing about his experience with the ER West Texas nurse, to crying, to holding him close.
Just trying to lean into the experience without shutting down or dismissing it. Also, trying to see the "gift" in this experience...not just the obvious one that I can go into the other room and see his face, but
the "gift" yet to be understood. Again, thank you for your kind comments. Peace to you, Betsy
I hesitated to call myself the 'Crazy Cat Lady' so I did www.andythecat.wordpress.com instead with an ebook on newbie cat care coming soon. That makes Andy the crazy one. LOL. That's my niche for the moment. Too many things chasing around in my mind....
I thought your name sounded familiar. I believe our mutual connection is Teacher Pat O'Bryan. Let's keep in touch!

Have a great week!
Thanks for the invite. I don't have any cats in my home (dogs neither) as my spouse has this aversion to them - can't win 'em all.
